Indigo Demos A Range Of Digital Applications On Mohawk Papers At Print '01

FOR RELEASE: September 6, 2001

CHICAGO – Digital press manufacturers are working hard to expand the substrate choices available to their customers beyond ordinary smooth, white paper. By running traditional "non-digital" Mohawk papers, Indigo's PRINT 01 demos signal a whole new set of substrate options for digital printers and their customers.

Mohawk Superfine Cover and two shades of Tomohawk Felt will run at PRINT 01, showcasing greeting card applications and fine art applications on print demos on Indigo presses including, the E-Print Pro, Ultra and Platinum.

According to Judy Finlay, substrate business development manager of Indigo America, "As the digital market matures, customers are looking to go beyond generic paper choices. A big advantage of Indigo is its ability to perform on a wide range of substrates. Mohawk papers, among others, were chosen because they are frequently specified by print buyers. Customers like their tactile quality and unique surfaces, which add value to the final printed piece and perform beautifully on the Indigo."
