Nexpress 2100 Production Printing At Print 01 To Feature Mohawk Digital Papers |

CHICAGO – The NexPress 2100 digital production color press will be formally launched at Print 01 with multiple presses printing commercial-quality work all day, every day; and Mohawk papers will play an important role. Presentations will highlight exacting, commercial work that demonstrates the flexibility to do short-run printing, quick turnaround, and variable data work – a growing market for commercial printers and digital trade shops. According to Mark Delman, director of communications, NexPress Solutions LLC, the work will also demonstrate the power of the press – high uptime and productivity, consistent image quality, and exceptional front-to-back registration. Many of the samples will be printed on Mohawk Digital Paper. The development team at NexPress has been testing and using Mohawk Digital Papers for over two years. "Paper consistency contributes to the quality of digital printing," said Delman. "We work with quality papers from papermakers who are committed to providing papers engineered for the full spectrum of high-value work that owners of 2100's are producing today." Mohawk has been a supplier of digital papers for the NexPress 2100 from its early development, through its announcement at Drupa, to its current launch. The NexPress team has tested the Mohawk grades extensively and feels that they make an important contribution to image quality on their equipment. Visitors to the Mohawk booth will see not only the results of the NexPress 2100 print demos (taking place in Heidelberg booth #1000), but also NexPress 2100 print samples, which have been incorporated into the Navajo and Options swatchbooks.
