COHOES, NY – In this age of advanced technology, there are significant, fundamental changes taking place in corporate communication.  Mohawk’s new Corporate Communications Kit highlights some of the trends in annual report design created by leading companies across the U.S.  Mohawk’s new kit is available now.     

According to Mohawk’s VP of Marketing Communications, Laura Shore, annual reports are evolving as companies are changing the way information is distributed to its constituents.  “We’ve noticed three trends in particular. First, that companies are producing a traditional annual, which includes a narrative front, letter from the chairman and comprehensive financials.  The next trend is how companies are treating the annual as more of a summary document, with a letter from the chairman and no comprehensive financials.  Finally, some companies are skipping the annual altogether in favor of a simpler, more basic 10k with a chairman’s letter.”

This year, Mohawk’s Corporate Communications Kit includes samples of annual reports and corporate collateral from companies nationwide, including Coca-Cola, General Electric and BP. All of the annuals featured in the kit are designed and produced on Mohawk paper.  “With our Corporate Communications Kit, designers and printers are presented with ideas, samples and production demonstrations so they can see what others are doing across the country,” says Mohawk’s VP of Marketing Communications, Laura Shore.  “It’s interesting to see the different styles in annuals, as well,” continues Shore. For instance, the annual report for Chicago Public Radio includes a chairman’s letter, but not comprehensive financials, while Coca-Cola’s annual report features comprehensive financials and a letter from the chairman.
