Mohawk Makes Moves to Further Strengthen Business |

[Cohoes, NY] – Mohawk Paper Mills, Inc. has announced several organizational changes that will continue to strengthen its position as the leader in the manufacture and marketing of premium text, cover and digital papers. John O’Connor recently assumed the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Administration for Mohawk. John will work with the Senior Management team on high priority business projects, reporting directly to Tom O’Connor, President and CEO. “John’s extensive experience and organizational skills have become increasingly important as Mohawk continues to develop and refine new strategies in all areas of the company,” says Tom O’Connor. In a related move, Mohawk has announced the promotion of Richard LaBonge to the position of Senior Director of Sales. LaBonge will oversee all sales and customer service functions. LaBonge welcomes this assignment, “I see my role as continuing to develop the best sales force in the business as well as to continue to provide exemplary service to our customers,” says LaBonge. “LaBonge is well prepared for this newly-created post. He has successfully managed Mohawk’s Northeast Regional Sales initiatives for the past 5 years, including responsibility for New York City, New England and Canada. With 20+ years experience on the merchant side of the business with Alling & Cory, LaBonge understands and empathizes with the needs of our customers,” says O’Connor.
