Thomas D. O'Connor, Sr., Chairman, Mohawk Paper Mills passed away on November 30, 2004. A beloved leader, father, and friend, Thomas O'Connor will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched.

Thomas O'Connor began his career at Mohawk over fifty years ago. He was named Chairman and President in 1972 and developed a vital, innovative company that has become a leader in the world of fine printing papers. A devoted family man, with a strong commitment to his community, Thomas O'Connor committed his personal time and resources to a wide range of charitable and professional organizations, serving on boards as diverse as the American Forest and Paper Association, Fleet Financial Group, and Albany Medical Center.
