[Cohoes, NY] - Mohawk Paper Mills, Inc. has named John O'Connor as Senior Vice President Administration & Strathmore Artist Papers. Prior to this appointment, O'Connor was Senior Vice President Administration. "We are very excited about the potential for growth in this division," said Thomas D. O'Connor, Jr., Mohawk Chairman and CEO. In his new position, John will report to Kevin Richard, Mohawk's Executive Vice President, Operations and work closely with David Hauth, Business Manager for Strathmore Artist Papers. Together with the Strathmore Artist team, they will optimize sales opportunities, identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and grow the business. Strathmore Artist Papers are known and respected worldwide as the leader in artist papers. O'Connor started his career with the Company in 1993. In 1999, he became Vice President of Sales and was responsible for the company's national sales organization and the customer service group. John became a Senior Vice President in 2000. In his previous position as Senior Vice President Administration, John worked closely with senior management on high priority business matters. "John's proven leadership experience and organizational skills have become increasingly important as Mohawk continues to develop and refine strategies in all areas of the company, especially with Mohawk's recent acquisition of the Strathmore Artist Papers business from International Paper," says Thomas D.
