Mohawk Show 7 Now Accepting Entries

FOR RELEASE: 09.14.05

[Cohoes, NY] — Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. announced that entries for its seventh annual Mohawk Show are being accepted now and through May 31, 2006. The Mohawk Show celebrates designers and printers who make concrete the complex communications of our culture, who go beyond the expected to turn ideas and visions into extraordinary print communication.

Each year Mohawk honors exceptionally designed and printed works produced on papers from the Mohawk Fine Papers lines. Entries are judged by a select panel of jurors on the basis of intelligent design, appropriate use of paper and production excellence.

Five Best of Show winners will be selected (the traditional four top winners and a special award to be announced later this year) and honorable mentions will be chosen for distinctive works that the jury would like to recognize. Winners will receive a three-night trip to the Sundance Film Festival or choose to accept a $3,000 cash award instead.

To be eligible, entries must be printed primarily on one or more of the products in the Mohawk Fine Papers line, including: Mohawk Superfine, Navajo, Options, Mohawk Vellum, Mohawk 50/10, Satin 2.0, Tomohawk, Ultrafelt, Mohawk Opaque, Mohawk Color Copy, Beckett Collection, Strathmore Collection, Strathmore Writing System, Via, and BriteHue. All commercial work is eligible.

Judges for the Mohawk Show 7 include: Sean Adams, partner, AdamsMorioka, Los Angeles, CA (show chair); Cheryl Heller, CEO, Heller Communications, New York; Jennifer Morla, president and creative director, Morla Design, San Francisco, CA; Keith Yamashita, chairman and CEO, Stone Yamashita Partners, San Francisco, CA.
