Mohawk Digital Papers: Innovative. Diverse. Reliable.

Since their launch in 1995, color digital production presses continue to evolve with improved speed, image quality, and lower cost of operation. Today digital printing has become integrated into the commercial print shop for small runs and on-demand printing. In addition, web-enabled printing and new finishing capabilities have created a number of new business opportunities, such as photo books and personal publishing and are rapidly transforming the direct mail industry through the use of variable data applications.

Mohawk's digital papers have been recognized by leading digital equipment manufacturers because they help printers maximize the significant investments they have made in digital printing presses, new systems, and marketing programs. With unique, proprietary surfaces, Mohawk's digital papers are engineered to improve print quality and performance on all of the most popular digital presses. These papers are available in a wide range of shades, finishes, and environmental options. Whether you're printing on super-smooth Navajo, recycled Options, textured Via or watermarked Strathmore, you get consistent results, brilliant color, perfect reproduction, and a more durable image.

The Surfaces

i-Tone

The Mohawk i-Tone process improves the affinity of paper for HP Indigo's ElectroInk. Applied on our paper machines, i-Tone papers work right "out of the box," without expensive pre-treatment or shelf-life issues. In addition, i-Tone has allowed Mohawk to qualify a wide range of substrates for the Indigo press and receive the prestigious HP Indigo Preferred Partners designation.

Digital Imaging Surface

By improving the attraction and adhesion of dry toner, Digital Imaging Surface provides better print fidelity, mottle-free coverage, and consistent performance on the widest variety of digital color printers and presses.

Inxwell

Mohawk’s celebrated Inxwell process makes uncoated surfaces extra smooth, very opaque, and extremely attractive to dry toner for exceptional detail in printed images. It also makes for a sheet that runs reliably in both digital and offset presses.
