[Cohoes, NY] – Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. presented Dallas, TX–based Half Price Books with a Mohawk Windpower Award in recognition of the retail chain’s continued support of sustainable business practices.
A longtime advocate for ecological awareness, Half Price Books is a15-state, 150-store retail chain that purchases and sells a unique variety of new and used books, music, movies and games. By reusing, recycling and reselling resources, Half Price Books helps to keep items from ending up in the landfill.
Mohawk presented Half Price Books with this award in support of the company’s environmental efforts. In 2008 Half Price Books purchased over 17,000 pounds of Via 100% PC Cool White Text & Cover through Clampitt Paper Company. Manufactured with Green-e renewable windpower, this choice has made a significant environmental impact.
